1976 Born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture
1999 Graduated from Tokyo Zokei University, Department of Sculpture, then apprenticed under Seiya Toyoba in Mino.
2003 Began production in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture
2011- Participated in solo and group exhibitions in various locations.
He creates Bizen ware fired in a wood-fired kiln, Shirahana (white-fired Bizen clay), and vessels with glazes such as ash glaze, black glaze, Ki-Seto, and kohiki.
/////About Glazed Items/////
・Ki-Seto (yellow ash glaze) is a type of Mino ware. It uses a glaze based on pine ash (pine ash used in climbing kilns) and is fired in a kerosene kiln.
・Black glaze uses a glaze based on onibata (iron-rich clay stone). It is fired in a kerosene kiln.
・Ash glaze uses a glaze based on pine ash. It is fired in a kerosene kiln.
